LEVEL-IT PROSelf-Leveling for ORI Struts

ORI is developing the LEVEL-IT PRO, a self-leveling system for ORI Struts. ORI describes it as 5-mode control of vehicle leveling while crawling: Auto, Low, Center, High, and manual control to raise and lower the front and rear or both. It’s still a prototype, and we post every new test video here.

First power-on test. ORI powering up the Level-It Pro prototype for the first time (5 min). Watch page → · On YouTube →

Latest updates

Newest: high, low and center. Our Ultra4 car goes from high mode down to low mode with a press of the Low button on the in-cab controls, then back to center (55 sec). Watch page → · On YouTube →
No jack needed. The prototype lifts the car on its own ORI Struts, high enough to set the jack stands right under it (46 sec). Watch page → · On YouTube →

ORI has powered the prototype up for the first time — that test is the video at the top of this page. Before that, ORI posted pictures of three separate components on their Facebook page:

Two prototype accumulator cylinder assemblies with solenoid valves, tagged RR and RF
Two accumulator cylinder assemblies, tagged RR and RF, with solenoid valves and junction boxes fitted. ORI’s post calls them “prototype accumulator cylinders” and says the next step is mounting them to a Jensen Bros. Off-Road vehicle. See ORI’s post →
Prototype cab controller with FRONT and REAR rocker switches and AUTO, HIGH, CENTER, LOW buttons
A cab controller. FRONT and REAR up/down, HIGH · CENTER · LOW presets… and an AUTO button. ORI captioned it “what could possibly go wrong?” See ORI’s post →
Prototype control box internals with a PLC and an XY tilt sensor
The “wiry looking thing” (ORI’s words): an industrial PLC — and that black module on the cable is an XY tilt sensor. This is prototype hardware only — ORI says a separate team is working to shrink the PLC into a compact device for production. See ORI’s post →

“Not active damping like the Fox Dynamix; this is 5-mode control of vehicle leveling while crawling: Auto, Low, Center, High, and manual control to raise and lower the front and rear or both.”

The design so far

  • An accumulator cylinder for every strut — ride-height changes without venting nitrogen to the atmosphere.
  • A two-axis tilt sensor watching pitch and roll.
  • Auto mode — one of the five modes. We’ll show what it does on the trail as testing goes on.

Level-It Pro is a prototype ORI is still developing, not a product you can buy yet. The photos come from ORI’s public Facebook posts. Specifications, features, timing and pricing aren’t final and may change.
